The Illinois Great Rivers Conference Chapter of the Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts will host a piano/organ/choral workshop at First United Methodist Church, Springfield, Illinois, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 18. Classes offered during the day-long workshop will be of interest to church pianists, organists and choir directors. Guest clinicians will be Jane Holstein and Joel Raney from Hope Publishing Company. Class choices include piano and organ in worship, how to survive in a changing culture (organ), the piano music of Joel Raney, in the mind of the worship pianist, taking your vocal choir to the next level, and a choral reading session.
