Demographics Workshops
Who Are These People?
…and how can we reach them?
Are you ready to gain a new perspective on your neighborhood and what cultural, economic, ethnic or generational differences exist there? Would you like to become better equipped with the knowledge that will help you reach beyond the pews to empathize, connect and build new relationships in your community?
Demographics may be the tool that will help your congregation become more effective in its mission outreach to those who don’t know Christ and who aren’t currently part of the church.
Once your team better understands the makeup of your community, the workshop will cover basic principles of outreach that will give you new insight into how to effectively connect with and creatively engage the people in your community. Each team will develop a few action steps so they can begin to implement a plan.
Join Rev. Mike Crawford, IGRC Coordinator of Congregational Development, for this afternoon workshop to explore these topics. This workshop is designed for teams of at least three people from each congregation. However, because of limited space, local church teams cannot be larger than eight people.
The cost is $25 per team, if registered and paid by three weeks prior to the workshop. From three weeks until one week prior to the workshop, the cost is $35 per team. Registrations will not be accepted within one week of the selected workshop
Space is limited, so contact us today at the Office of Congregational Development, 217-529-3219, or congdev@igrc.org and register your team.
