Abstract Correspondence to DS Leland Lawrence concerning the sale of the church building. The folder also contains a letter to Lawrence in 1951 with the final list of members active at Dewey.
Admin/Biog History In 1882, J. Hamm and Brother Sale organized a Sunday School in Dewey. The first Sunday School met at Brother Sale's house, until the large attendance required the congregation to move to the Independent School, north of Dewey.

In 1884, Rev. Peace, a UBC minister of Fisher, was asked to hold revival meetings. The revivals were held at the Lutheran Church in Dewey and the congregation was added to the Fisher Circuit. In 1888, a subscription list was begun to build their own church and in December 1888, the new church was dedicated. In 1923, the Chapel merged with Dewey MEC.

In 1951, the Dewey MEC was closed. The church building was sold in 1955.
