Admin/Biog History The Methodists of Edgar Township worshipped in Bloomfield and were at one time part of the Paris Circuit. When Rev. William Mitchell arrived in 1882 he found a Baptist church for their use. In 1883, a church was built but was destroyed by fire in 1955. The following year a new church was built but not dedicated until 1961 when it became debt free. In 1995, the church celebrated its 150th anniversary. The church closed in 2001 and the building was sold in 2002 to be used as a private residence.
