This camp is for those who want to take part in a real rustic camping experience. Why sleep in a cabin when we can build our own shelter? We will be doing primitive camping out in the woods. This week, we will sleep in tents and make our own shelters. You will learn all kinds of outdoor living skills and spend time reflecting on God’s will for our lives. However, you can’t come to East Bay and not participate in all our fun camp activities. During the day we will spend plenty of time swimming, boating, tree climbing, playing games, crafts, and much more. Register early -- we only have so many tents.

Are you bored with your life on the ground?  Do you dream of being high in the air?  Then come to Altitude where you spend your week running through our amazing teams course, climbing some of our tallest trees, and soaring through the air on the zip line.  One day will be spent at a rock gym off site, where you will get a chance to climb in one of the largest climbing gyms in the country. This week will take you to a much higher place that will leave you understanding what it means to fully trust in God.  Don't let this camp fill up before you register.  Room is limited!!

Experience emotional and spiritual growth as you serve children in need. Work as part of a team during the day, ministering to day campers with behavior disorders from The Baby Fold. In many ways Catch the Spirit (CTS) is like other church camps: swimming, boating, singing, praying, Bible study, dining hall food, and lots of hanging out with old and new friends.  But it’s also unlike any other camp in the way we do the usual stuff in unique ways.  We hope you’ll join our crazy camp staff for a Spirit-filled, life-changing week of living in the love of Jesus Christ where we’ll create lasting memories, make  real connections with Christ, and build cardboard boats for the 14^th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta!

CIT is a can't-miss opportunity to make your mark on the ministry at East Bay Camp.  If you are interested in experiencing the nuts and bolts of leadership and then having the chance to live them out, this camp is for you. All campers that attend CIT camp will go through a small portion of the training that our summer staff does. After the week, you will have the opportunity to shadow a counselor. If you have always dreamed of being a counselor when you get older, then this is the camp for you sign up for so you can come back and give it a try. Room is limited. Register Early.
(All CIT’s will have the opportunity to come back for 2 more weeks of the summer and shadow a counselor at no additional cost. Special permission may be granted for those that would like to attend additional weeks)

 What does it mean to be a member of a church? What are YOUR responsibilities? What expectations come
with confirmation? You may know the answer but do your youth fully understand what it means to be
confirmed? We invite you and your youth to join other UM confirmand’s as they are led through the
weekend discovering the rich history of the United Methodist Church. Materials from both Claim the Name
(Living Springs) and Credo (East Bay and Little Grassy) will give an opportunity for your students to grow as
they learn.
Retreats are designed to complement, not replace, the confirmation classes at the local church. Register
early for your first choice of camp. Retreats will start on Friday at 7 PM and end after worship on Sunday by
11 AM.

One adult must attend with each group of 5 or fewer youth. Contact Camping/Retreat/Youth Ministries at

During this week you will learn about God—that God loves you no matter what and wants a relationship with all of us. Each person will work toward a certificate in small craft sailing.  You will gain confidence in sailing and rigging, control a sailboat safely, and go where you want to go. Prerequisites for certificate: the ability to swim, a willingness to try new things, and a good attitude.

Neither do we. Come paint or work with clay. Chaotic messy arts will be the goal and outrageous fun will be our reward. Don’t bring new clothing to this camp unless you want it to go home tie dyed.
