Fruitful Congregations Process

A new series of Fruitful Congregations Process (FCP) workshops is scheduled to begin in the Sept. 19-20, 2014, hosted by Calvary UMC, Normal.

Is your church effective in fulfilling the mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world? Would you like it to be more effective?

The Fruitful Congregations Process (FCP) is designed to equip churches with practical principles for reaching out to people in their communities. The participants develop action steps to implement in their daily lives and in the life of the congregation which can lead to great fruitfulness in fulfilling our common purpose.

Beginning in the fall of 2014, a church can choose to attend only the first workshop (Radical Hospitality) and receive coaching for up to twelve months as they implement their action plan. In the workshop, participants will be challenged and equipped to build relationships with people in the community and become more invitational. For churches which choose to participate in the full two and a half year process, there are a total of five workshops, one approximately every six months. The other workshops are:

         Passionate Worship
         Intentional Faith Development
         Risk-Taking Mission and Service
         Extravagant Generosity
