• Luau Ordinands Trip to Liberia – Peoria First UMC. Proceeds from the luau will be used to finance the Ordinands’ trip to Liberia in spring 2009.
• Garrett-Evangelical Alumni Gathering dinner, Room 209. GETS President Philip Amerson will be the guest speaker.
• Good News dinner, Rooms 221-222. Rev. Shane Bishop, pastor of Fairview Heights Christ UMC will be speaking.

• Ministers’ Mates lunch, Room 402. This year’s luncheon year will be centered around hats with an atmosphere of an old-style tea party. Those attending the luncheon are encouraged to wear a hat, the more “interesting” the better! If you do not have one, check with someone in your church who might be willing to loan you a hat.

• United Voices for Children breakfast, Room 221. Dr. Deborah Curtis, Dean of the College of Education at Illinois State University, will be the guest speaker. Dean Curtis will speak on Dynamic Public Schools: A Role for Community and School Partnerships.
• United Methodist Men’s breakfast, Peoria Bethel UMC, freewill offering
• Historical Society breakfast, Room 220. Richard Chrisman, conference historian, will present a paper entitled, The Evangelization of the World in This Generation.

Attendees will also need to bring their special meal tickets as servers will collect them at each event.
