The Kaskaskia District Ministry Team believes that one of our main tasks is to help develop and nurture leaders and leadership in our District. We have taken a step to help with this process and we are excited to present you with this opportunity!
The Crossroads Christian Church in Newburgh, IN is a host site for the Global Leadership Summit. This event started as a vision of Willow Creek Church and has grown into an International event with it being streamed live around the world. This is a two day event which will be held on Thursday and Friday, August 6th and 7th, this year. The times are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm each day with a lunch break and some short breaks between speakers.
We have signed on to become a Global Leadership Partner with Crossroads Christian Church in Newburgh, IN. The Crossroads Church is a Host Site for the Summit. It is located just south of Gateway Hospital which is near the Lloyd Expressway and I-69 exit on Evansville’s eastside.
Becoming a Summit Partner means that we must have a minimum of 25 persons register for the two day event. This event is for both Clergy and Laypersons, which means the greatest benefit for your church would be to bring a team of people. Because we are a partner the cost for registration is only $99 until June 23rd and then it goes up to $129 after that date. This is a world-class leadership conference within a reasonable distance from your location. If you would choose to spend the night there are many rooms available nearby the Crossroads Church.
Send your name and the name of each person planning to attend from your church or community to the District Office, 1603 Salem Road, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864. I will register everyone online so please send a check for the proper amount of your group and make it out to Kaskaskia River District.
We also are planning to reserve space at Crossroads Church for us to gather and have lunch each day so we can talk about our learning opportunity. I will share more details about this as they become available.
Note from DS Carol- Wonderful resource for building leadership in church! Best practice is to take a team from your church. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity for learning and growth.
