Is your church poised to start a new worship service? What does it take to do so successfully and reach new people for Christ?

On Friday evening and Saturday, May 16-17 (Friday, 6:00-8:30 p.m.; Saturday, 8:30-5:00), Mike Crawford, IGRC Coordinator of Congregational Development, will lead a workshop entitled "Launching a New Worship Service" at 1st UMC, 302 Broadway St., Lincoln.

This workshop is for churches which have already made the commitment to start a new service, leading them to develop the strategy and action steps needed to make it a reality. It is most effective if a team of at least 3-4 people attend together.

Topics to be covered include Fatal Mistakes Many Churches Make, Focus on Your Mission Field, Building a Launch Team, and Reaching, Welcoming, and Connecting New People. As a part of the workshop, each church team will develop an implementation timeline.

The registration fee is $15 per person (to cover the cost of Saturday lunch and snacks).

Participants must register by May 9 by emailing 1st UMC, Lincoln, at anita.miller29@frontier.com.
