Saturday at annual conference
The final day of Annual Conference will focus on the praise aspect of passionate worship.
Bishop Gregory V. Palmer will preach the third and final Morning Manna session at 8:30 a.m., followed by a visit from the children of the Annual Conference.
The conference will honor two individuals who have made valuable contributions to Scouting with the awarding of Torch Awards. A video will highlight other award recipents for a variety of efforts, including scholarships, church growth and evangelism awards.
A report will be heard from the Conference Foundation and the Conference Nominating Committee Report will be considered.
Following a break, conference members will take care of the following legislative items:
- Legislative Item 112: Ministry with Migrant Neighbors, submitted by the Committees on Ethnic Local Church Concerns and Hispanic Ministry and the Board of Church and Society
- Legislative Item 113: Hold Over Funds for Camping, submitted by the Conference Camping Commission
- Legislative Item 205: Affirming Inclusion of New Members
- Legislative Item 103: Conference Budget for 2011 as submitted by Conference Council on Finance and Administration
- Legislative Item 104: CCFA Policies and Guidelines
Following approval of the 2011 budget, a service of appointments and recognition of superintendents will conclude the session prior to adjournment.
