Acts Bible Study to be released for post-Easter use

A six-week Bible Study on the Book of Acts, which brings together scripture, the teachings of John Wesley and the Four Areas of Focus, will be released online March 1 for IGRC congregations to use in the 50 days leading up to Pentecost.
The Acts of the Apostles: Hearts Afire and the Four Areas of Focus is a collaborative effort that has involved a team of writers and resource people across the United Methodist connection.

Focusing on prayer and peacemaking, the New Streams Team will host Seeking God’s Power and Living a Shalom Life, which will be held Nov. 9-10 at Effingham Centenary UMC. The event is the next in the Deeper Still series.

Church leaders will have a new tool to help people deepen their understanding of a variety of spiritual disciplines beginning in January. Best of all, there is no book or DVD to purchase – these new resources will be available as a free download from the conference website.
