2014 Benevolence Application for Specialized Ministries and Advance Specials
As we enter into the budget cycle for 2014 Benevolence Budget, along with the ministry assessment process and granting of Advance Special status, this letter is to assist you in this year’s process so that our work together will run smoothly as we make the best decisions possible for the glory of God and the fulfillment of the vision and mission of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference.
An application form is available for download for benevolence funding and Advance Special status. It is similar to the form sent over the last couple years with only a slight modification or two. As before, we would prefer that you submit these forms electronically if at all possible to speed up the processing. On page 4 of the application is the email addresses of your District Offices and on page 3 the email address of the Office of the Director of Connectional Ministries. It is important that you send a copy to both to your District Office and the Office of the Director of Connectional Ministries so we can track the process of the application.
Just a reminder of these deadlines:
Sept. 14 is the deadline for all Specialized Ministries, Advance Specials and Health and Welfare applications with their budget request and should be sent to your District Office and the Office of the Director of Connectional Ministries. Audits need to be sent in hard copy to the Office of the Director of Connectional Ministries and are not necessary for the District Office.
Nov. 2 is the deadline on which District Committees must submit their recommendations to the Office of the Director of Connectional Ministries.
Dec. 1 will be the hearings for Specialized Ministries.
Dec. 3 will be the hearings for Health and Welfare.
Results of all the hearings will be passed along to the Equipping and Connecting Team and voted on at their Dec. 8 meeting so the Benevolence Budget can be passed on to CCFA.
Thank you for your commitment and service to Christ that enables us together to fulfill the vision and mission of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference.
