At the 2022 Annual Conference, we voted to commemorate Aldersgate Sunday with a celebration of our proud heritage and practice as United Methodists. It is hoped that this conference-wide celebration will guide us to remember John Wesley’s Aldersgate experience on May 24, 1738; remember how our churches have shared the Good News of Jesus Christ across our communities; and renew our commitment to answer God’s call in the days ahead. This can truly be a day of celebration and thankfulness to God for the connections that bind us together as United Methodists.
