The Illinois Great Rivers Conference elected five clergy and five lay delegates for the 2020 General Conference to be held in Minneapolis, Minn. An additional five clergy and five laity were elected to complete the North Central Jurisdictional Conference delegation to be held in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
Due to Covid-19, both the 2020 General Conference and the 2020 Jurisdictional Conference have been postponed until 2022. The new dates announced are: General Conference, Aug. 29-Sept. 6, 2022, in Minnapolis, Minn., and Jurisdictional Conference, Nov. 2-4, 2022, in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
The first two elected Jurisdictional delegates will serve as General Conference alternates. The alternate General Conference delegates are: Rev. Beth Fender, Rev. Mike Crawford, Anish Hermon and Julie Higgins. Following the election of both General and Jurisdictional Conference delegates, three jurisdictional alternates were elected.
