Evenglow Lodge gets high marks from U.S. News and World Report

WASHINGTON – U.S. News Media Group has released the 2011 Best Nursing Homes rankings and
Evenglow Lodge in Pontiac is among the group highlighted for high quality service.
The ratings are based on data from Nursing Home Compare, a consumer website run by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The magazine reports that only 18 nursing homes received four straight quarters of perfect five-star ratings from CMS.
U.S. News' report for ranking nursing homes across the country based on the CMS Nursing Home Compare website. The CMS website “grades” nursing homes on a 5 star system in three categories: Public Health Surveys, Staffing, and Quality Indicators. Those that receive 5 stars in all categories are on the magazines Honor Roll – 18 this year (listed at the bottom of this email). These organizations received 15 out of 15 stars for four straight quarters. Honor Roll of 18 homes that received perfect five-star ratings for four consecutive quarters in all three categories in which homes are judged – health inspections, staffing and quality measures.
