The final day of Annual Conference will be a full one, as voting for General and Jurisdictional delegates will continue.
Laity have already completed their General Conference delegation and have also elected their first of six Jurisdictional delegates, leaving five delegates and alternates to be elected. Clergy have elected four of six General Conference delegates and will still need to elect six Jurisdictional delegates and alternates.
Saturday's agenda begins at 8:30 a.m. with Bishop Gregory V. Palmer preaching the third Morning Manna installment, Intentional Faith Development: Deed. In addition, the children and youth of the IGRC will pay a visit to the conference floor, scholarship recipients, church growth awards and a social justice award winner will be recognized.
The Annual Conference Foundation will give its annual report and Courtneika Hudson, a student at Paine College and the Black College Fund Ambassador, will bring greetings, with a special offering taken for the Tom Brown Scholarship Fund at Wiley College.
The remaining agenda has been blocked out for legislation and voting -- roughly 3 1/2 hours to tackle 25 legislative items and reports not already calendared with a specific time. This includes the 2012 Conference budget and the approval of a Nominations Report that provides conference leadership for the new year.
A Service of Appointments and Recognition of Superintendent will precede adjournment which is set for 3:30 p.m.
