Camping to launch Mission Illinois

9/28/2011

Looking for a Mission Trip where all the planning  is already done for you?

Mission Illinois is designed for you!

IGRC Camping and Retreat Ministries has announced plans for the first Mission Illinois experience July 22 to 27, 2012 at Little Grassy Camp.

The week will be spent working on mission projects in southern Illinois. All of the planning is done. Youth leaders need only provide transportation to and from the mission sites and chaperones for their youth.

The cost will be $225 per person, which will include housing, meals, mission and fun activities.

Lisa Guilliams will provide morning devotions and evening worship. Lisa is the pastor at Granite City Trinity UMC, where mission and outreach are ways of life.

Registration will begin in January 2012 at the IGRC camping website. If you have questions or would like more information, contact Kim Stuby at 618-534-6813.

This is the second mission trip initiative within camping. In 2005, Beulah Holiness Camp launched Mission Blitz, which has continued ever since. The dates for the Mission Blitz at Beulah for 2012 are July 30 to Aug. 3, 2012, during the 110th annual camp meeting, which will be held July 27 to Aug. 3.
