Reverend Thomas "Tom" Wilber, 68, of Pittsfield, IL died on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL after a short illness.
Tom graduated from Jacksonville High School. He went on to attend and graduate from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL and Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Tom served the following United Methodist Churches: Littleton/Brooklyn/Doddsville, Bluff Springs/Browning, Portage Faith/Shallersville/Mantua/Freedom in Ohio, Pleasant Hill/Rockport, Bowen, Industry/Vermont, Jacksonville Grace, Williamsville, Springfield Woodside, Nashville Grace, Bradley Wesley, and Pittsfield.
He is survived by his wife, Edwina of Pittsfield, IL; a sister, Janice Sue (Mark) Kitzing of Lewistown, MO; mother-in-law, Imogene Fletcher of Stow, Ohio; brother-in-law, David (Beverly) Fletcher of Ravenna, Ohio; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and John "Bob" Wilber; stepmother, Betty; and father-in-law, Willis Fletcher.
A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Pittsfield United Methodist Church (222 N Monroe, Pittsfield, IL). Visitation will be Friday, April 20, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pittsfield United Methodist Church in Orr Hall. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to be made to Preachers' Aid Society and Benefit Fund, Pittsfield United Methodist Church, or the church of your choice.
