Judith L. Fry Endsley, 72, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 14, 2014, at her home.She was born May 20, 1941, in Benton, the daughter of Thomas E. and Lena (Lawson) Fry.
She married the Rev. Edward E. Endsley on Nov. 16, 1990, in West Frankfort and he survives.
Judy was a 1959 graduate of Mount Vernon High School, and received her Bachelor of Science in education from SIU in 1964, then received her Master of Science in education from SIU in 1974.
Judy was a teacher at Horace Mann School in Mount Vernon for 30 years, retiring in 1994. She was a lifetime member of the Ina United Methodist Church, secretary of the Bonnie Camp Association since 1974, and a member of the Bonnie Belles.
Judy was always a supportive pastor's wife, teacher and follower of Christ.
Judy is survived by her husband, the Rev. Edward E. Endsley of Ina; stepsons, John (Tammy) Endsley of Albion, Edward Jr. (Pamela) Endsley of North Franklin, Connecticut; grandchildren, Zechariah, Grace, Ryan, Jace, Hannah and Kylie Endsle; sister-in-law, Peggy Fry; niece, Susan (Tim) Quinton; nephews, Thomas E. Fry III, William Lawson Fry (Peter Larson),Steven (Carmel) Haskin; special great-niece, Katelen Fry; and special great-nephew, Henry Haskin; and lifelong friends, Judy Grisley and Suzanne Rice.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents; by her brother, Thomas E. Fry Jr.; and a sister, Joan Haskin.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, in the Ina United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Phil Foley officiating. Burial will be in Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.
