Pearl L. Bishop

Pearl Bishop, age 91 of Tabor, IA, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.  Pearl was born August 15, 1923 in Randolph, IA to Sylvester Rubenking and Ola May (Rutt) Rubenking.  On November 9, 1940, she was married to Ivan G. Taylor, Sr. and to this union was born four children.  Pearl worked all around Southwest Iowa as a Dance Instructor for her business Taylor Dance Studio for over 30 years.  Pearl served as President for National Association of Dance and Affiliated Arts, Inc. (NADAA) a non-profit organization servicing the needs of dance professionals and serious students of dance.  She was a leading sales professional for Fashion Two Twenty where she successfully earned 2 cars from her sales production.  This International Company honored her by naming a fragrance after her, "Pearl Essence Perfume".  On December 8, 1990 she was married to Rev. Perry Bishop, Jr.

Pearl was baptized into the Randolph United Methodist Church and later in life became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary, a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, The Eagles Club and always enjoyed the Randolph High School Alumni banquets.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Ivan G. Taylor, Sr. and Rev. Perry Bishop, Jr.; 2 sons, Ivan G. Taylor, Jr. and Larry G. Taylor; and 13 siblings.  She is survived her son, Rick Taylor and wife Beckye of Hendersonville, TN; daughter, Elaine Taylor Rosendahl and husband Wayne of Mesa, AZ; 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; 2 daughters-in-law, Judy Taylor of San Antonio, TX and Joy Dysart of Ashburn, VA; 2 sisters-in-law, Eleanor Rubenking and Carolyn Rubenking; numerous nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
