Maxene S. Raper, 87, Bloomington, died at 11:35 p.m. Sunday (June 23, 2013) at Westminster Village, Bloomington.
Maxene served as a lay person working at the Central Illinois Conference office from the mid-1970’s to the early 1990’s as the Administrative Assistant to the Program Director.
Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, Normal, with the Revs. Scott Carnes, Don Jones and Howard Daughenbaugh officiating.
Burial: East Lawn Mausoleum, Bloomington.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday also at the church.
Memorials: First United Methodist Church, Normal; Baby Fold, Normal; or Home Sweet Home Mission, Bloomington. Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
Survivors: her husband, Lyle Raper, Bloomington; three children, Steven (Pamela) Raper, Radnor, Pa.; Randall (Pamela) Raper, Bloomington; and Rebecca (David) Ryherd, Mahomet; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Billy E. Smith, Bloomington.
