Norma Fyffe Hawf, age 82 of Allendale and formerly of Sumner, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Vincennes, IN at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born March 10, 1934 in Macomb, IL to Samuel and Emma Maxine (Hedder) Murfin.
Norma married Rev. Robert “Bob” Fyffe, and he preceded her in death in 2001. She then married Gene Hawf, and he survives.
She had been a member of the Lancaster United Methodist Church for many years. Norma was a loving and devoted homemaker to her family.
Surviving family includes: her husband- Gene Hawf of Allendale: two daughters- Jean Maes and her husband David of Kingwood, TX and Jane Zuber and her husband Larry of College Station, TX: two sons- Alan Fyffe and his wife Pat of Winter Garden, FL and David Fyffe and his wife Heather of Sumner: one sister- Carol Stormer and husband Paul of Danville, IL: one brother- Keith Murfin and wife Judy of Bushnell, IL: one brother-in-law- Joe Fyffe and wife Charlotte of Indianapolis, IN: six grandchildren- Michal Hendy, Christopher Fyffe, Alex Maes, Parker Fyffe, Abby Zuber, and Hunter Fyffe: and two great-grandchildren- Bayli Brown and Mason Fyffe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband (Rev. Robert “Bob” Fyffe), and one sister, Ruth Houston.
A funeral service will be held for Norma Fyffe Hawf at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in Bridgeport at the Cunningham Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in the White House Church Cemetery (Pleasant Hill Cemetery).
