Doris Nadine Bogart 79 of Normal Illinois passed away September 26, 2016 at her residence. Doris was born in Mill Shoals on March 2, 1937, the daughter of Weldon R. and Clara Neathery Gardner. Doris graduated from Fairfield Community High School Class of 1954. She also was a Registered Nurse, graduating from Alton Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1957. On September 5, 1959 she married the Rev. J. Ronald Bogart, who survives. Following their retirement in 2000, the lived in Mill Shoals for two years. While there he served as pastor of the Mill Shoals and Springerton United Methodist Churches.
Doris is also survived by two daughters, Luanne (Henry Huskisson) Bogart of Pekin and Stacy Lynne (Stacy A.) Hembree of Bloomington. She is also survived by her four grandchildren Kristin (Dr. Brady) Bennett, Jesse (Bre Rogers) Walden, Caitlynne Hembree, Kyle Hembree, and three great-grandsons Drake and Bowen Bennett, and Hayden Walden. One sister, Linda Lickteig, also survives. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Darrell. A graveside service will be held in Shrewsbury Cemetery in Mill Shoals Illinois at a later date. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
