Bonnie Helen Smith Cramer, 71, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016. The wife of Frederick Cramer, she was born April 9, 1945 to the late C. Woodrow and Mary Boomer Smith. As the wife of a pastor, Bonnie Helen has always been very involved in church, whether teaching Sunday school, conducting children’s choir, or playing the piano. To her it was never a job or responsibility; she enjoyed investing her time and energy in the people who surrounded her. Outside of church, Bonnie Helen listened to all sorts of music, read books, and enjoyed crocheting, various types of needlepoint, quilting, and making everyone’s favorite foods. She also had a very special fondness for cardinals…the Lord’s little signal to her that everything was going to be ok.
In addition to her husband of nearly 50 years, Frederick, Bonnie Helen is survived by her sons and daughters: Sean Thomas Cramer, Franklin, TN; Heather Lea Cramer Sontag (Cameron), Wilmore; Tim Cramer, Lexington; and Theresa Cramer Miller (Jeremy), Lexington; sisters, Vicky Rae Smith, Crystal Lake, IL and Carla Gail Smith (Kent Wilbur), Kimberling City, MO; brother, Paul Woodrow Smith (Paula), Spokane Valley, WA; grandchildren, Aidan and Nessa Sontag and Braxton and Kylee Miller; and nephews and niece Ryan Jusk, Kimberling City, MO, Ian Smith, Seattle, WA, and Lauren Smith, Dillon, MT.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville, KY. The funeral service will be held 10:00am, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Clark Legacy Center with Pastor Ron Callahan and Pastor David Redding from Grace Fellowship of Lexington officiating.
