Jean Irene Webster, 88, of Royalton, Illinois, formerly of Zeigler, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at her home.
Jean was born February 29, 1932 in Zeigler to Richard H. and Grace (Morris) Webster.
She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Bondi of Christopher; a son William R. Bondi of Pinckneyville; a grandson and his wife, Christopher Matthew and Kathleen Swain of Carbondale and a granddaughter, Shelley K. Bondi of Florida.
Her parents; a brother, Richard Webster and two sisters, Lois Cook and Patricia Webster preceded her in death.
Mrs. Webster was a member of the United Methodist Church in Zeigler. She was also a member of the National Counsel of the Teachers of English; the Heartland Writers Guild and the Phi Beta Kapa Sorority. She was the former pastor at the Greenwood church in Mulkeytown.
Grave side funeral services for Mrs. Webster will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 11, 202 at the Miners cemetery east of Royalton.
