Rebecca Ann "Becky" Fox, 84, of Savoy passed away at 1:52 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 8, 2017) at her home.
She was born on Aug. 18, 1932, at home in Glasgow, W.Va., the oldest child of Orville and Virginia McQuillen Litton. She married Carl B. Fox on June 1, 1951. He preceded her in death in February 2009.
Surviving are two daughters, Anne Fox Moore of Russellville, Ark., and Mary Fox Lynch of Bella Vista, Ark.; four granddaughters, Dr. Rebecca (Nathan) King, Elizabeth Moore and Billie (Shane) Nichols, all of Arkansas, and Antonette Gant of Champaign; five great-grandchildren, Balen, Bridget and Liam of Arkansas, and Lamar and Adrian of Champaign; and three brothers, Kenneth (Peggy) Litton of West Virginia, Charles (Nancy) Litton of Oregon and Douglas (DoeAnn) Litton of North Carolina.
Becky and her husband of 48 years ministered in the United Methodist Church in central Illinois, serving in Broadlands, Vermilion, Decatur, Weldon, Tremont, Danville, Savoy, Newman and Allerton.
Becky was an educator, teaching math in the Danville schools for 30 years.
Her life spirit was the UMC, the church choir, Cunningham Children's Home and her many friends. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her, especially Roland "Mac" McShanog and her "band of angels" at the Savoy UMC.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at the Savoy United Methodist Church.
