Ruth W. Barnard, nee White, of O’Fallon, IL, passed away peacefully Monday, December 5, 2016 in Fairview Heights, IL.
Ruth was born on May 31, 1917 in Bonne Terre, MO. She worked was a medical assistant and office manager. She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in O’Fallon, IL, an honorary member of the O’Fallon Lions Club, past Worthy Matron of Fenton Chapter #152 Order of the Eastern Star, and member of the Military Officers Association of America, Illinois Chapter.
She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Fred F. and Edith G. White (nee Davis); her first husband of 40 years, Golden Lewis, who passed away in 1980, and second husband of 16 years, Rev. Lloyd W. Barnard, who passed away in 1998, and ten siblings.
She is survived by her step-daughters, Ruth Wagner and Edith Barnard, both of Peoria, IL; granddaughters, Beth Perce of Peoria, IL and Heather Torres of San Antonia, TX; five great-grandchildren, nephew and niece, Roland and Pamela Hill of Hilton Head, SC; and sister, Wanda Rencehausen of De Soto, MO.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Schildknecht Funeral Home, 301 South Lincoln Avenue, O’Fallon, IL.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 10:00 am from the funeral home with the Rev. Rebecca Williams officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 10180 Gravois Road, St. Louis, MO.
