Don't have a copy of Opening Ourselves to Grace? Need an extra for a second study? IGRC congregations (and individuals within those congregations) may borrow a copy by contacting the United Media Resource Center. The DVD may also be purchased through Cokesbury.
Have you ever wondered what practical steps you might take to grow in your faith? This 18-page document provides a six-week Bible Study focused on just this sort of practical guidance – referred to by John Wesley, founder of the Methodist movement, as “The Means of Grace.” Each session focuses on one practice that helps us to grow in our love for God, along with one practice that helps us to grow in our love for our neighbor. This study can be done alone or in conjunction with a study of the DVD Opening Ourselves to Grace and/or a study of the workbook Charting the Course of Christian Discipleship. Both of these resources were distributed to every IGRC church at Annual Conference in 2006. For more information, please contact Beth Fender.
This document provides discussion questions and other material for leaders using Opening Ourselves to Grace as a four-week DVD-based study. This leader's guide is also available as a download from the DVD itself.
This Power Point presentation was developed by Jame Hahs for use in a sermon at Alton Main St. UMC. It addresses God's grace and our willingness to be immersed in it through many of the means of grace. Jame has graciously granted permission for the New Streams Team to share his creative work.
