Greetings in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ! I look forward to seeing you at the 2020 Annual Conference session, June 4-6 at the Civic Center, Peoria, Illinois. To prepare for annual conference, please make note of the following items.
Annual Conference Website: www.igrc.org/ac2020. Don’t forget that website and the SCHED app, both will be a key resource for you. Through these tools you will find all relevant information for annual conference.
Pre-Conference Materials and Workbook: All 2020 pre-conference materials/workbook will be sent via email. In addition, all pre-conference materials/workbook will be available at the annual conference webpage and SCHED app. If you wish to use a more paper-based platform, please call the Print and Mailroom Manager, Mr. Doug Stone at 217-529-3267 or P.O. Box 19207, Springfield, IL 62794 by March 27.
Conference Secretary Webpage: You are invited to visit: www.igrc.org/secretary. The purpose of this page is to assist the secretary in fulfilling their primary responsibilities. Here are some things you will find: prior Annual Conference journals, episcopal nomination forms, conference policies, standing rules, personal information update form, delegate equalizations, memoir submission form, pre-filled legislative resolution document, and more.
Annual Conference Checklist: To the right you will see the Annual Conference Checklist. There is also a ‘blueprint’ to use if you wish to submit a resolution to the bar of the conference. If you have any questions about how to format the resolution, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Special Worship Services:
Memorial Service: Each year we remember our deceased clergy members and lay members to annual conference from the previous year. Submit the names of those deceased persons to the Conference Lay Leader, Mr. Ken Miller, 190 W. 4th St. Coal City, IL 60416, 815-634-0449, email@example.com. Please cc: Mr. Paul Black, firstname.lastname@example.org, 217-529-2824.
Ordination Service: The Bishop’s expectation is that all appointed clergy be present for the ordination service. All appointed clergy should robe. Ordained deacons and elders should wear red stoles.
Special guests to the session may be introduced to the assembly if the request is made in writing to the Conference Secretary and biographical information by April 27.
