About Us

The United Methodist Foundation of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference, Inc. is a 501(c)3 that can relate to all churches and agencies that have a heritage tied to the Wesley Brothers (John and Charles) and the Methodist movement.  We are a resource to local churches, Agencies, and some committees through “stewardship.” 
There are five areas of “stewardship” that we may be able to help with:

• Developing strategies to support financially the annual budget.
• Developing strategies to support financially capital campaigns.
• Developing strategies to encourage “Planned Giving” or “Estate Planning.”
• Developing strategies to invest funds in a way that will support ministry and missions.
• We also have grants available for specific areas of ministry.

If you become a partner with the United Methodist Foundation through investing, we will help you with your fiduciary responsibilities.  The United Methodist Foundation does charge a fee for this service.  We charge 0.75% annually.  We take our fee each month by multiplying the month end balance by 0.065%. 

Partnering with the United Methodist Foundation makes you our partner with ministries within the Illinois Great Rivers Conference and the world.  We currently support all ten of our Golden Cross Ministries, Methodist Schools in Haiti, and a Church in Honduras.  We support scholarships for Higher Education including clergy support.  The United Methodist Foundation supports children and senior ministries throughout the Illinois Great Rivers Conference.
